Forest Glade Bank Holiday Weekend May 2013
In May 2013 the club held its first mini getaway at Forest Glade Holiday Park in Devon over the Bank Holiday weekend.
It started off by a meet and greet as members arrived , getting to know people they have only spoken to via the clubs FB chat page and of course people got to meet the lovely 'poos.

Saturday the weather was lovely, so members decided on a nice stroll around the area, so the dogs could have some fun being off lead.
Though some of the dogs could not resist a dip in mud and the puddles!
Luckily the caravan park had a handy tap for a wash down!
Sat night everyone got together for a lovely feast.
The dogs made friends too!
Some people went home the next day and some stayed on and went on to have fun on the beaches. All in all everyone thoroughly enjoyed the clubs first mini getaway and look forward to more in 2014.
Crufts 2014
March 2014 a group of Club members went to Crufts for the weekend. Some of the group stayed in the Premier Inn hotel and some met up at Crufts on the Saturday and Sunday.
On Friday the group staying in the hotel kicked off the weekends events by having a meal together in The Premier Inn restaurant. None of us could resist having a desert. Yummy!
Saturday morning after a cooked breakie the hotel group went to Crufts to meet up with all the other members at the Arden Grange Stand for a meet and a greet where we all said hello and had a natter. The group then divided up with some going off to do some shopping and to visit the Discover Dogs section and the rest of us went into the Arena section to watch some agility and the heel music.
It was great to watch the dogs perform to music and using props. The entrants came from all over the world, and we found it quite emotional at times.
We all loved Englands entry by Richard Curtis "When I'm cleaning windows" and we all cheered when he was declared the winner ,though it was a close call with the 2nd place entry.
The members who went off shopping didn't have a bad day either lots of lovely goodies were bought !!
Saturday evening some of the group went out for a meal at The Black Boy in Solihull. It was a friendly welcoming pub with a great choice of food and also had a menu for the children to choose from too. John Donnelly kindly volunteered to take our orders.
We all had an enjoyable evening with great food and plenty of chat and we were very full as the portions were huge!
The next day some of the group went home and others went on for another fun day shopping and meeting the dogs and watching the displays.
Some of the group got to meet club members Miss Darcy the cockapoo and her owner May who where attending Crufts to do some blogging.

We all had a great time and already are looking forward to Crufts 2015.
The Midlands Massive 14th April 2014
On 14th April the club held a walk at Coombe Country Park In Coventry. This was no ordinary walk though it was a pootastical walk! it was a walk aimed at getting as many cockapoos as we could together for a walk in one place and also to raise money for Hearing Dogs For Deaf People, and we had some lovely hearing dogs attend the day too.
Club member Mark Quinney who organised the event counted up how many cockapoos and we had 127! They were all very well behaved and much fun was had by both humans and poos alike. Here is how the day went:
We all gathered at 12 p.m by the grass at side of the car park at first a few and then more and more came! Mark seen here in the high viz jacket welcomed everyone and got the walk started.

Off we went for our stroll it wasn't wagons roll but poos roll!!!
127 poos and their owners a sight to behold!
We next all congregated on the grass to chat and mingle and for the dogs to play
We had a bit of mud wallowing ......
A splash splash in the water........
The dogs played ball........
Lots of fun playing chase and zooming about.....
A bit of investigating......
and a bit of rolling.....
We then attempted a group photo....well we tried! hehehe
Then we set off back
The day wouldn't be complete without an ice cream to end a perfect day
We all are already looking forward to doing it all again in 2015.
Update : We beat our target and on 21st Sept 2014 we had 169 poos attend the walk! plus we all raised £591.33 for Hearing Dogs For Deaf people. Since then we have held more fundraiding walks here for Hearing Dogs, details of which can be found in our fundraising section.
Sherwood Hydro pool..... Fun swim session
Following a successful trip last year, two sessions were booked for May 2016. A great time was had by all, both owners and dogs alike, as the owners also went into the pool with their cockapoos. As a max of 10 are only allowed at any one time, two sessions were booked.
